  1. I was actually wondering if it was required to hire an excavation crew when looking to build a home. Thank you so much for informing me on what I need to do. I would've had no idea that I should look to see if they have experience with plant hire. I'm going to make should when I look for a crew that they meet these requirements. http://www.miniquip.com.au/equipment/excavators

  2. I am looking for a good company to come and dig out my backyard to put a basement in a little addition I am putting on our current home. Sometimes people just want to find the cheapest option, but that isn't the only thing to look for. The types of tools that they use say a lot about their company and whether or not they are more concerned with quality over saving money. http://www.gerardexcavation.com/Excavation-Services-Lyman-ME.html

    1. I agree with you completely, Bobby. The cheapest option certainly isn't always the best one. It's crucial that they're qualified for the job and have the necessary equipment and experience, like the article said. It's also good to get some referrals before you make a decision. I'm looking for an excavation contractor to help dig a hole for a pool in my backyard, and I'm looking solely based on quality. Hopefully we both find someone good. Thanks for the comment, Bobby! http://hrcomplete-septic.com/WPC/?page_id=29

  3. Thank you for these tips. My husband and I are planning to have our new home custom built on a piece of property that we own. We need to hire an excavating contractor, but neither of us knows what to look for in one. I like what you said about making sure that the company has all the necessary excavating equipment. I'll be sure to remember that.

  5. The excavating company that both my friend and I work with had quite some fancy technological equipments. It was interesting to see how few of the managers used their ipads and laptops to map the out the excavating area. My best guess is that it's probably how these type of companies are going to be like in the next ten to fifteen years. http://www.blue-ridge.ca/residential-excavations.html

  6. What a great point about making sure the excavation company can get into your backyard. It seems logical to understand that their machines might be too small for your project. However, it is a different level of thinking to consider that the machinery cannot even get into the backyard because it is ginormous. That could be a costly down payment for retention of services.
